Grace Sagaya Chia decided to open her first business – Rhythm In Me, a music and movement studio for kids – in 2003. Grace had the right credentials for it; She possesses boundless energy, a genuine love and empathy for children. She also has an amazing, innate understanding of children and their needs.

Creativity and improvisation are central to everything she does. Grace strongly believes that children learn best when they're given their own time and space to explore and grow. And this belief is infused in all of her innovative programs and services for families.

After work, Grace ensures she spends quality time with her husband John, daughter Suzannah and son Elijah – the three people who inspire her to keep doing what she's doing. Time together for the family includes karaoke performances, dance routines and crazy competitions both at home and outdoors. In her private life and work life, Grace's attitude is the same through and through – have fun and be creative about it!

Describing herself as "energetic, 'loud, happy and confident", Grace exudes boundless energy and a positive  attitude. Not surprisingly, her mindset and personality have gone a long way towards helping her realize her dream of starting GraceKids, an early childhood development business.

More importantly, Grace has empowered the children in her care to become champions. Amazed parents often marvel at how she has managed to transform their kids into confident little people with a positive self-image, eager to explore the world.

While Grace has worked with kids most of her life, she credits her mother as being her role model and biggest source of inspiration: "My mum was the best mum," she says. "She taught me to believe in God and to go after my dreams." Growing up in rural Malaysia with her family also
taught her to be content with very little. Naturally; these experiences have influenced her parenting style as well as the way she runs her classes and manage her staffs.
